We cannot let citizens die on road
Every life is precious, lets save them
Education is critical for ensuring Road Safety

Death of a person is not just loss of a life
It can be loss of
-bread earner of a family
-child of old parents
-future scientist

Traffic Safety

During 2014-2016, I had met police officials in Hyderabad regarding traffic safety. I started sharing thoughts about improving traffic safety and bringing some discipline into the traffic movement in Hyderabad. But for whatever reasons, I saw little response from Officials. I then started thinking about what else I could do. One outcome of my thoughts was my Online Petition in 2016 at Change.org for traffic education in schools.

3 Lakhs Lives Lost
50 Lakhs People Injured
$80 BN Loss to Economy

Petition for Traffic Education

For a country like India to become a developed country only Economy / GDP are not important. India should also look into the ways to improve on Civic Sense and Traffic Discipline. There have to be initiatives to Transform India.

Swachh Bharat was a great Initiative by PM Modi. India will need more Initiatives. Traffic Education is extremely basic in schools and also is taught only in few school education boards. It should be made mandatory extensive subject in school curriculum of all education boards throughout India. This is the only way we can ensure every citizen can be educated about traffic rules.

My traffic education sessions in schools

Though I started petition few years ago for traffic education in schools but it takes time to implement. I tried to educate elders about importance of the peition, but i experienced backlash saying it is just common sense and need not be taught. I may not be able to convince, adult generation, but I thought let me teach at-least the kids who are the future of this country.
So after lot of thought I started the initiative of educating kids in schools. Whatever kids learn in schools, there are more chances of following during the rest of their life.

Session at Meridian School Kukatpally Hyderabad - 16 Jul 2018.
My first stint of teaching to Kids. Had a great interactive sessions with the kids. I could experience how difficult it is to control kids and keep them attentive.

Session at Alma Mater St Gabriel's School Kazipet - 22 Feb 2020.
Attended by around 200 students of 9th and 10th class. Nostalgic feeling of teaching to kids at very same institution where I pretty much had my entire school education.
